The story
In March 2025, videos showing a metal sphere engraved with symbols, supposedly found in the rural area of Buga, Colombia, went viral online. According to those who publicized the case, the object had been seen flying before it fell. UFO programs in Mexico presented X-ray images said to show internal parts and small spheres.
The case divided the internet. Promoters spoke of non-human technology, while researchers noted that the symbols resembled known scripts and that no independent laboratory analysis had been published. Without open access to the object, most experts treat the sphere as an art piece or a hoax until proven otherwise.
