The Kingman crash
The account
A disc crashed in the Arizona desert, and an engineer was taken on a blacked-out bus to examine the craft and a dead crew member.
What investigators found
The case relies on anonymous testimony and leaked papers whose authenticity has not been confirmed.
The story
In the 1970s, a man who said he had worked as an engineer for the U.S. government told researcher Raymond Fowler that in May 1953 he had been taken to a spot in the desert near Kingman, Arizona. There he supposedly saw an oval metal object, almost intact, and the body of a small, dark-skinned being. He signed a statement under a pseudonym.
The case returned to the news in 2019, when a document circulated that was attributed to a conversation between an admiral and a physicist and that, according to those promoting it, mentioned a recovered craft. No official agency confirmed that paper, and the original witnesses never produced evidence. For skeptics, Kingman remains an account with no verifiable basis.
