The story

According to reports that circulated in Russian UFO magazines in the 1990s, a huge cigar-shaped object supposedly crashed in 1991 in a remote area of the Tian Shan Mountains, in Kyrgyzstan, near a place called Shaitan Mazar, roughly "the devil's grave." Expeditions allegedly tried to reach the site, and one of them supposedly ended in a helicopter crash.

The story also speaks of strange fields that made visitors ill. No government in the region confirmed the case, and there are no verifiable photos or documents. Skeptical investigators treat the episode as a modern legend, born in the information chaos at the end of the Soviet Union.
